Pegamoose 100 — Details — GoalsPhoto SafariArt Gallery

The Pegamoose 100 is our way of boosting our company by asking for your help to spread the good word about Pegamoose Games and Puzzles. Pegamoose Games is a small hobby game company with a lot of big ideas. Unfortunately, in order to bring you bigger and better things, we need support from the kind and creative people who visit our website. Some of these ideas have been slow-roasting on the back burner for too long, that is, until I decided to combine some of them into a fun way to help you help us.

By participating in various fun and inexpensive activities, not only do we get to have fun in the process, but together we can spread the word of Pegamoose Games and Puzzles. The more of these activities you participate in, the better we spread the word. The higher your score, the better your chances of earning free subscription time and possibly other perks.

For the Pegamoose 100, when emailing any item to us, please send it to "info [at] pegamoosegames [dot] com". Make sure the Subject of the email is "Pegamoose 100" so that we may track it better to ensure you get your well deserved Pegamoose 100 points.

Or, you can snail-mail us at:
Pegamoose Games — 1621 Gaylord Dr. — Austin, TX 78728

If you'd like any items returned when snail-mailing, please include a self-addressed, stamped envelope.

Pegamoose Merchandise and Subscriptions (10 Points)

The way to earn the most points is to purchase some of our merchandise or subscriptions. You may buy any Pegamoose Games item, whether it is from our CafePress site, or one of our products like Snipe Hunt or the Puzzle Challenge. You may purchase something for yourself, for friends, or family. Or, you can encourage others to buy our products. By feeding the piggy bank, you help us afford to hire more puzzle authors and release other board/card games at a quicker rate.

Puzzles of the Month (7 Points)

There is a bit of a Catch–22 at Pegamoose Games. In order for us to hire some more puzzle authors to create more puzzles, some of the authors would like to see a bigger subscriber base. But, some people choose not to subscribe, because they would prefer to see more puzzles per release. So, by you donating unique puzzles for the Puzzles of the Month, not only can we provide more puzzles for the subscriptions, we will give you credit for your creativity. You've solved the puzzles... Now try your hand at designing one!

Pegamoose 100 Photo Safari (5 Points)

I didn't know what to do with the Pegamoose 100 Photo Safari. Should it be part of a Puzzle Challenge? Should I take the pictures and put them into a humorous photo gallery? I decided I want to use this idea to help spread the word of Pegamoose Games by asking Pegamoose supporters to find other people to act silly for a moment. This is all in good fun, and is meant more to spread the word of Pegamoose Games, and not to embarass people... much.

Pegamoose Games will present submitted photos, as long as they are in good taste, in a Photo Safari Gallery. When taking pictures, ask the people to visit our site to keep an eye out for their picture in our gallery.

There are a few rules to follow in order to participate in the Pegamoose 100 Photo Safari:

  • Each picture must have at least three (3) people doing one of the following:
    • Presenting the Pegamoose: Either from the coloring page, a Puzzle of the Month, wearing an article of Pegamoose clothing, or presenting a Pegamoose Game.
    • Making antler hands: That means their palms out, fingers spread, and thumbs at either side of their head.
  • Pictures are judged by uniqueness. Uniqueness includes, but is not limited to: location, originality, and variety of people in the picture. Pegamoose Games reserves the right to award bonus points for exceptional pictures, or disqualify pictures based on content.

What kinds of pictures are we looking for?

  • People playing a game in a public place. Bonus points for playing a Pegamoose Game (besides the Pegamoose 100 Photo Safari).
  • At a famous landmark.
  • Picture with a celebrity.
  • Before an audience (ex. movie theater, stage production, or sporting event)
  • On public mass-transportation (ex. bus, subway, airplane)
  • In a computer lab with Pegamoose Games on the monitors.
  • Representing an album cover.
  • Reenacting a scene from a movie.
  • During a meeting (ex. business meeting, scout meeting, AA meeting, etc.)
  • Dining at a restaurant.
  • At a drive-thru (This is the only exception to the three person limit).
  • At the mall.

Pictures may be digital or photographs. To submit pictures to Pegamoose Games, either email or snail-mail them to the address at the top of this page.

Blogs, Forums, and Websites (5 Points)

One of the best ways to advertise is by word of mouth. If you blog it, they will come. Some forums do not appreciate blatant advertising. So, it may be difficult to get a link on a forum to stick long enough for people to use it. When you do get something posted, email us the location along with your Pegamoose account name to earn points.

Pegamoose Coloring Page (3 Points)

This originated with the idea of creating an activity page for kids. But, I wanted it to be more than just a coloring page. My first thought was to display the pictures in an art gallery of sorts, like a big online refrigerator. Then, I was showing pictures of the Cow Parade website to my daughter and pondered doing something like that with Pegamoose. What I eventually hope to accomplish is a gallery of colorful Pegamoose (a Pegamoose Parade, or Plethora of Pegamoose, perhaps?) that can be used for website link swapping.

To earn your Pegamoose 100 points for this, download the coloring page (PDF or JPG). You may print it, color it, and send it back. Or, you can use art software, and design it, and send it back. If you have a scanner, scan it and email it.

Free Form Pegamoose Design (3 Points)

Maybe you have other artistic talents. Maybe you like to draw, paint, sing, sculpt, or perform. Well... Here's your chance to do what you love and show that you help support Pegamoose Games. Create your own Pegamoose in any artistic form you'd like. Email us a picture or a link to your site of your Pegamoose creation with the subject "Pegamoose 100". If you'd like credit for your creation, include a link to your own website and when we add it to our Pegamoose Art Gallery, we'll make sure you are recognized for your accomplishment.

Other Pegamoose 100 Points

If you can think of other creative ways to promote Pegamoose Games, we will award you points based on your creativity. Maybe you want to put together YouTube commercial for Pegamoose Games. Maybe you can organize and document a flash mob that gathers together briefly to solve a Puzzle of the Month. Whatever you come up with, let us know, and we'll award you more Pegamoose 100 points.
